Books, Magazines & the real world

Day before Yesterday, after taking to Charu, I went to a publisher for a clarification and have a chance to look at the wide variety of small magazines [in tamil it is called Siru pathirikai or kuru eadu or kaiyuzhuthu prathi]...Looking at the content & info. they deal with, I feel pity for the mass magazines. Of courz, they deal different public mindsets to go with.

I had a chance of going thru a Cuban Film Festival and the Scientific Frontier's article about Are we surivive the future? in tamil. Interesting read. for those beginners, i recommend two books "Uyirmei" and "KathaiSolli" both priced at 15-25 rs and worth putting ur money in. Afterall, it is a community offline like our online community. If not support these guys, who do wonderful things, who else will.

There are a few heavy magazines like " UllManam" "Kaatru" "Kanavu" "Neeralai" "Yugam"...but not for reading initially anyway.
