It's Raining....It's Raining

It is true. It is happening. It is here, finally here. YES. It is raining outside...can you believe this. I am from chennai, sitting and viewing right across my window, i can see the drops of water from the sky no no it is heaven. For a moment, i forgot, how it rains...with a child like intuition i extended my hand into the open sky....wow......what a feeling, if a rain drop sits on ur hand.....mmm....crow's are running back to their nest... i can see a bunch of umbrallas, suddenly sprang across the street...the smoke comes out of the bikes, along with the rain water, creates a lovely petrol-ish smell, being bareland my apartment has, the smell which comes out of the sand with the rain water....mm...ithuellam anupvaikkanyumyah...


btw..it is a amavasai today..so i m off for a tharpanam.

Well my first movie in mumbai. Yes an hindi movie. Ofcourse we bought the ticket in black, but worth it. Well for cursing narain and saras on tamil movies its a sheer co-incidence that i went through a good hindi movie. As you all know the DI Hari is residing in the same complex of mine, made the call for the movie. First i was hesitant then let go. All the characters in the movie were presented well especially the neighbouring aunty in the film. Well you guys should be enjoying there chilling out in chennai. Its pretty cold here and every nose is sneezing. Work is also not much as it is december and the clients are busy shopping for christmas and new year. You guys should be planning for Dec 31? whats that? I am still thinking what to do on new year.

There is no active participation in this blog except for narain including me....common guys.

I suggest that we list the interesting moments of 2003 here in this blog of each of us. That will give a good send off to 2003.

It's been a proud moment, when i recieve a mail from Murali, one among the first buyer of the first eNovel in Tamil saying that it is one of the best work. Thank Murali, for non-starters, this is the first time, a novel is being distributed fully online as a eNovel, which again is a proud moment, since it is in Tamil, which is mother tongue. Of all the indian languages Tamil is the first language to have more websites and a lot of firsts to its credit for various digital innovations. I hope i am putting one more feather to her cap.

After months of waiting & hair-picking issues in development, the first eNovel in Indian languages is released today. This novel written by Charu Nivedita and created waves in its print avatar, now recreating [hopefully!!] the same magic & controversies in the digital format. Myself being the idea seeder and the developer of the whole e-book finally feels i have done 85% good work in it except for a few font issues, which we are solving it in another 3-4 weeks time.

Intolerable Cruelty

J.J oru mega sothapal. meeting after 2 weeks, myself & saravanan decided to go to a movie. We have a choice between J.J and intolerable cruely at Satyam complex. Finally we have decided to go to JJ the tamil movie than the english movie. Fate laughed at us on the ticket counter, which we dont see it ;-(

What to tell. The movie is an absoulte treat. Full of colours. Madhavan, 2 new female leads, good music touching love story. ippidiyellam solluvennu ninachingana, ninappu than pozhappai kedukkuthu. I really dont know, having done 5 movies and with a banner like "Oscar Films" wht story Saran has given to the producer. The movie is developed on the editing table i suppose, no continuation, no syncing, no story and overall it is one more masala bhel puri, without any water mouth for it. My ? is apart from others, why Tamil Cinema Directors are making Kalapavan Mani as a useless comedian....such a talented actor, is being wasted fully. The only relief for the whole movie is a chuckling character of "Anni Malavika" in a supporting role. Rest all, well it is "intolerable cruelty"

Saras was talking about some of the International & Indian movies he has seen in the recent International Film Festival hosted in chennai at Pilot theatre & Chambers... Going by his words, the orgaisation is good but the content is not up to the standard. Maybe, among us someone can raise their finger and say let's make something better, which is simple yet of world class standard. Are you?
